Stephen Gilman, M.D. has dedicated the last decade of his professional life to the treatment of all types of addictions in a private, discreet
office setting in NYC. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine in NYC, and is Board
Certified in both general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. He was the medical director for over 7 years at a nationally renowned substance
abuse rehabilitation facility.
He has conducted original research in addiction treatment and has written numerous articles for both the academic literature and consumer
magazines. He has appeared in the media - print, telecast and radio - talking about addiction treatment issues.
He has won numerous awards including most recently receiving the 2005, 2006 American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award.
Dr. Gilman is certified by the DEA and FDA to use buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex) for outpatient, office based treatment of opiate
addiction.
